PRV DDE I/O Server
PRV DDE I/O Server makes it easy for Windows software (SCADA systems) to access data from PRV1/PRV2 and EKL-X DSSs via standard DDE or FastDDE.

PRV DDE I/O Server is available for Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP/2003. This makes it easy for Windows software (SCADA systems) to access data from PRV1/PRV2 and EKL-X DSSs by Siemens Landis & Staefa PRV terminal protocol.

PRV DDE I / O Server, runs in 30-minute demo mode with full functionality if no license exists. Thereafter, PRV DDE I / O Server has to be restarted.

Communicates with individual PRV directly through the PC's serial port.

Communicates with multiple PRVs over serial RS-422/485 via multi-drop nodes from the KK-Systems. Up to 4 DSSs per PC port. Visonik SDLC protocol can not be used.

Communicates with multiple PRV over TCP/IP terminal servers over Ethernet (NetController, PortServer, etc). Go through the Window Sockets without COM-port semulator or -redirect.

Communication speed up to 38.4 kbps with a maximum cable length of 1200 m through the multi-drop nodes. Different transfer rate can be used for different PRV on the same bus.

Tested with Siemens Landis & Staefa EKL-X, PRV1 and PRV2. This is DSSsna in a Visonik systems.

Minimizes traffic through dynamisskt established pol lists.

Usually, you don't have to make any changes or updates to an existing system. To get updated event DUC you only need four program lines added to TSK252 and TSK253.

Event updated cache makes the response time short.

Minimum polling interval of 55 milliseconds for Windows 95 / Windows 98, 10 milliseconds for Windows NT/2000. Maximum of 55 000 + events per hour for an individual PRV2. Multidrop has better performance event, but are slower in pure polling. The best performance is always with a TCP/IP or directly connected PRV.

A PRV2 deliver about 10 new values per second. An overloaded EKL-X delivers about two new values per second. Used only event update is update time of a full flow image (50-40 values) approximately 50 ms, provided that the cache is updated, which is usually the case.

Maximum 32 line DSSs (COM1-COM32). With TCP / IP is no limit on the number of terminal servers, however, is a practical limit of approximately 64 DSSs per PC.

All item parameters obtained through the terminal port can also be read and written, in case they are rewritable.
